This is Church

Yesterday I had a very interesting time of meeting up with some of my cell members and Primers. In total I had 3 meetings.3 meals, with 3 different sets of people.

Honestly it was a bit of a struggle for me, because I have alot admin to catch up for the Primers ministry and I was weighing the need of the meetings.
Well to me the first meeting was essential, because it was a meet up with a new member of the cell. Kinda like the old sponsor sponsee meetings I used to have when I was a new believer. The next meeting was with a member who wanted to do more for God, but lacks the necessary skills sets, and therefore I was there to impart some of my experience to his planning.
Lastly the third meeting was with a pair of new Primers, that I have recently known during the trip up to Sri Lanka! These are the future of Primers, and hopefully the future of DETRIBE!

It was interesting as I reflected back, because all 3 groups of people represented the different stages of all of my cell members. First they got to know us thru' our ministry in Primers as officers, and later they will accept the Lord as their personal Lord and saviour, at the later stages they will be serving alongside as officers in Singapore Poly! And to me that is precisely the reason why we do Primers, while we are in ministry, why we have YOUcampaign, OSLT, RIO camp, SGB etc. To me this is CHURCH, everything we do boils down to us being able to meet up with the people we minister to and letting God come thru in their lives!

So if I ever have to struggle between doing up the admin part of primers or ministry and meeting up with a person that I am ministring to, I know what I will choose to do.

Cos I just need to remember THIS IS CHURCH!
